Abstract

This tutorial will show you how to request a Wendelin instance from the SlapOS panel.

Request a Wendelin Instance

On the SlapOS Panel homepage, click on Request in the Global section on the left.

Select the Project to which you wish to link the instance, then continue.

Select the latest Wendelin software release and continue.

Enter a title for your Wendelin instance.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, leaving the parameter form as it is and select the Compute Node on which you wish to deploy the instance from the drop-down list.
You may find the matching reference in the Compute Nodes section of your Project.
NOTE: This step is optional and the field can be left blank. SlapOS will then automatically determine a Compute Node on which the instance can be deployed.

Click on Request again to finalize the request.

You will be redirected to the new instance's page, which will have the Start Requested state, as well as a red Monitoring Status. You will have to wait for some time before it is ready.

Once your instance's Monitoring Status is green, it is ready and the Connection Parameters will appear. Find and note down the following parameters:

  • family-default-v6: This URL will be needed to request a frontend for your Wendelin instance.
  • inituser-login: This is the username for the instance's master account. It will be needed to login to the instance.
  • inituser-password: This is the password for the instance's master account.
