Description
Nexedi and Rapid.Space are participating in an R&D project and initiative to build a fully European open cloud as counterpart to established cloud solutions. Fully open means built with open hardware, running open source software and deploying open processes, which can be reproduced by everyone interested. The idea is that a service should be able to be automatically deployed entirely from an open description. We are looking for developers who are interested in working on the following topics:
- Incorporate security processes in description of services deployed with our orchestration software
- Include operating rules and predictive algorithms in description of services deployed with our orchestration software
- Help further automaticing the Devops of our infrastructure of own data centers and points of presence
Responsibilities
- help build a fully open European cloud provider
- improve our deployed services through encapsulation to make them portable towards a convergent system
- automate all aspects of cloud service deployment, configuration and management
Opportunities
- Work on fullstack development and devops (Python, buildout)
- Work in cloud infrastructure management (security, scalability, edge computing)
- Contribute to complex open source and free software solutions
- Learn promise theory and cloud service lifecycle automation through machine learning
